Competenze

• 7 years of relevant professional experience in computer science, intelligence analysis, data analytics, information technology, cybersecurity, or related discipline
• Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, natural language processing, Python, SQL, or similar analytical technologies
• Experience in intelligence analysis and intelligence product development with ability to identify patterns and anomalies across multiple information sources
• Ability to evaluate AI-generated information critically and explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Familiarity with AI governance, model validation, bias testing, synthetic media detection, or digital forensics
• Eligible for national security clearance at SECRET level or above

The State Police Artificial Intelligence Analyst role, based at the New York State Intelligence Center in East Greenbush, produces intelligence products focused on AI, emerging technology, and AI-enabled threats affecting New York State. The analyst uses machine learning, natural language processing, and advanced analytical tools to identify patterns and anomalies in large datasets, monitors malicious AI use including deepfakes and cyber threats, and evaluates AI-generated outputs for accuracy and bias. The position requires national security clearance eligibility at the SECRET level and supports criminal intelligence, counterterrorism, cyber, and public-safety missions.

Key qualifications:

• 7 years of relevant professional experience in computer science, intelligence analysis, data analytics, information technology, cybersecurity, or related discipline
• Experience with artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, natural language processing, Python, SQL, or similar analytical technologies
• Experience in intelligence analysis and intelligence product development with ability to identify patterns and anomalies across multiple information sources
