Job summary

GBQ Holdings LLC is actively seeking a professional to participate in and oversee a docket of state and local tax projects for clients across various industries. You will maintain strong client relationships, communicate effectively with team members, and independently manage concurrent assignments with knowledge of Ohio tax law and multi-state income/franchise tax considerations.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in accounting or a related field.
• CPA certification or legal license required.
• Approximately 2–3 years of state and local tax experience.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements independently.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize state and local tax workload.
• Supervise and review work of other team members on client engagements.
• Complete technical client work and perform tax research.
• Analyze data and develop recommendations for clients.
• Communicate with department leaders and client personnel to complete engagements.
• Research and draft summaries of state tax legislation for internal and client use.
