Job summary

Cherry Bekaert's State & Local Tax team is growing. This role supports data entry, data analysis, and research of state tax statutes, while coordinating with tax professionals on client projects on-site in Houston.

You will verify work for completeness, manage client records, and communicate status updates. We seek a bachelor’s degree in accounting, strong Excel skills, and excellent organization and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
• Ability to work overtime during peak seasons.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Passion for providing high-quality client service.
• Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel data manipulation.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with tax professionals on data entry, client records, and forms.
• Gather, manipulate, and analyze data.
• Participate in research of state tax statutes, regulations, and rulings.
• Thoroughly verify work for completeness and accuracy.
• Interact with clients via on-site meetings, video calls, and project status reports.
