Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of full-time experience in building maintenance, repair and/or construction, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
• Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships and deal tactfully with others.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures in building maintenance and repair work.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in maintenance and repair of buildings and related structures at a state institution.
• Inspects buildings, related structures, and building systems; notes hazards; sets work priorities based on safety and operational needs.
• Determines need for supplies, materials, and equipment; solicits bids or quotes for repairs or maintenance.
• Maintains records and reports progress, costs, and staffing to superiors; analyzes problems and materials used.
