Charter Senior Living of Fredericksburg in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Medication Technician / Med Tech to support residents in assisted living and memory care communities. The role centers on safe medication administration, ADL assistance, and collaborative care planning to maintain residents’ dignity and quality of life.

The ideal candidate holds current state certification, with prior senior living experience preferred, and excels in compassionate, detail‑oriented, teamwork-driven

Qualifications

• Current Medication Technician / Med Tech certification as required by state regulations.
• Previous assisted living, memory care, or senior living experience preferred.
• CNA, caregiver, or direct care experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and medication safety practices.
• Compassionate and resident-focused attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and company policies.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs).

Position Summary

The Medication Technician / Med Tech plays a vital role in supporting the health, wellness, and quality of life of residents within our Assisted Living and/or Memory Care communities.

This position is responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living, medication administration and management, implementation of resident care plans, clinical documentation, and communication with nursing and caregiving teams.
