Job summary

The State of Oregon seeks a Legislative Fiscal Analyst to join the Legislative Fiscal Office and produce fiscal impact statements, develop budget recommendations, and conduct program evaluations. You will work with elected officials on research and analysis to inform policy choices and legislative decisions.

This full-time, limited-duration position runs from November 2027 through October 2028. A hybrid in-person/remote schedule is available between sessions, with onsite work during sessions in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of related experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform fiscal impact analysis and budget evaluations.
• Experience with state government finance and legislative processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce statutorily required fiscal impact statements.
• Develop budget recommendations for small state agencies and programs.
• Conduct program evaluations and budget analyses within assigned areas.
• Present information to legislators and translate analyses into policy options.
