State Administrative Manager 15
This position functions as a manager for the Policy and Innovation Section within the Behavioral Health Transformation Division of Health Services. This position oversees the work of subordinates involved in primarily business and administrative activities related to research, evaluation, planning, development, implementation, data reporting, and assessment of integrated health policy and innovation projects. This includes but is not limited to, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), Innovation in Behavioral Health Model (IBH), and the Behavioral Health Home (BHH) Model. In this role the manager will be responsible for guiding CCBHC, IBH, and BHH policy and procedures, technical assistance, health information technology initiatives, and evaluation efforts, as well as implementation of future initiatives related integrated health projects. Supervisory functions include approving leaves, conducting service ratings, counseling and disciplining employees, participating in employee grievance procedures, and the hiring and training of personnel.

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level.Education level typically acquired through completion of high school and two years of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 14 level; or, one year of safety and regulatory or law enforcement experience at the 15 level, may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.

The physical location of this position is 400 South Pine Street, Lansing. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview.



Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:

  • A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions.
  • A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload.
  • Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities.
