Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Project Manager with direct E-STATCOM/STATCOM project experience to lead utility-scale power-system projects from initiation through closeout. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, clients, suppliers, and contractors to deliver scope safely and within contract requirements.

The role requires 7+ years in project management, exposure to STATCOM interfaces, and travel of ~10–25%. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Project Management of Utility, Construction, Engineering, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of direct project experience with an E-STATCOM or STATCOM installation, upgrade, or program.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience with capital project management and client liaison roles.
• Ability to multitask with multiple priorities and strong written/verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10–25%.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Lead project initiation, integrated planning, execution, monitoring, change control, and closeout.
• Establish and maintain the project execution plan, scope baseline, schedule, budget, staffing, and risk registers.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities; clarify ownership and interfaces.
• Lead project meetings, document decisions, track status, and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain client relationships and act as primary coordination point for project matters.
• Coordinate delivery across design, equipment specification, supplier coordination, testing, and transition to operation.
• Monitor performance against scope, schedule, quality, and budget; manage changes and approvals.
