Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a STAT RN-Staff Nurse for the Float Pool to deliver high-quality nursing care across units. The staff nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while guiding and coordinating with the patient-care team.

Ideal candidates hold an Ohio RN license with a BSN preferred and ICU experience; CCRN is a plus. This on-site role at University Hospital Doan Hall features a 36-hour rotating schedule and full-time status.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or interim permit.
• BSN or higher preferred.
• Experience in an acute care ICU setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for diverse units across the Float Pool.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients and families.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective care.
• Mentor and support less-experienced staff on the floor.

Position Summary

The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.

Required Qualifications

Degree in Nursing from a CCNE (Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited nursing program required. Current Ohio license or interim permit.

• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

Additional Information
