Job summary

The Foundry, UVA's hub for entrepreneurship and student Founder advising, is seeking critical thinkers with a passion for entrepreneurship and helping others succeed. Venture Support staff connect students to resources, advise Founders, and maintain momentum while balancing education.

Schedule is 10-20 hours per week, in person, weekdays 10 a.m.–5 p.m., with occasional evenings or weekends. Compensation is $17 per hour. Education: current UVA undergraduate student; no licensure required.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in entrepreneurship, startups and innovation.
• Prior customer-facing experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Documenting programming and events.
• Assigning advisors and mentors for student Founders.
• Maintaining communication with student Founders and ventures.
• Assisting with events and workshops.
• Connecting students with UVA Foundry resources.
• Supporting outreach and representation of The Foundry on Grounds.
• Documenting events, speakers, and programs as needed.
• Gaining hands-on experience in entrepreneurial advising.
