Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Paint Assistant Manager to lead startup and ongoing painting operations at a new manufacturing facility in McDonough, GA. You will supervise first and second shifts, mentor paint technicians, and ensure quality, safety, and productivity targets are met.

The role focuses on robotic painting systems, teaching and programming robots, process optimization, and rapid problem solving to support production launches and steady-state operations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automated robotic painting systems.
• Strong knowledge of industrial paint application processes, spray equipment, and fluid delivery systems.
• Experience troubleshooting paint defects and independently adjusting application and curing parameters.
• Ability to provide technical leadership and coordinate production activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing operational priorities.
• Flexibility to support first and second shift operations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee painting operations across first and second shifts to meet production, quality, and safety objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and support to paint technicians, operators, and production personnel.
• Support startup activities, equipment commissioning, process validation, and SOP development.
• Coordinate production activities, staffing needs, and workflow for efficient paint operations.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and equipment reliability.
• Oversee robotic painting systems operation, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Perform robot teaching, path programming, and 3D offline programming for consistent coverage.
• Monitor and adjust process parameters: viscosity, temperature, humidity, airflow, booth pressure, flash times, curing conditions.
• Troubleshoot equipment and paint application issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering for performance and CI initiatives.
• Ensure painted components meet appearance and performance standards; manage defect resolution.
• Promote safety, housekeeping, and environmental compliance.
