Job summary

Hillel International seeks an entrepreneurial Executive Director to launch Hillel at Clemson University, building a vibrant Jewish life on campus. You will craft the vision, secure financial sustainability, and empower students to own programs while aligning with university and community partners.

You will lead fundraising campaigns, establish partnerships, and create an inclusive, pluralistic environment that welcomes diverse Jewish backgrounds. Relocation assistance is available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of professional fundraising and leadership in a nonprofit or education setting is ideal.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans and secure financial sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Create a strategic vision and long‑term plan for Hillel at Clemson.
  • Establish infrastructure for a self‑sustaining nonprofit organization.
  • Lead fundraising, cultivate stakeholders, and secure financial resources.
  • Develop policies to ensure sound financial practices and independence.
  • Identify and outfit rental space to support Hillel’s needs.
  • Collaborate with university, Jewish community partners, and local agencies.
  • Engage and mentor student leaders to foster ownership of Jewish life.
