Job summary

The Learning Experience #505 is opening a brand-new childcare center in Katy - Jordan Ranch, TX, and seeks an experienced Child Care Center Director to build and lead our school from the ground up. You’ll balance educational quality, people leadership, family experience, and strong business operations.

This hands-on role involves recruiting and developing a high-performing team, shaping center culture, welcoming our first families, and driving enrollment and financial performance in a startup

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership or management experience in licensed childcare or early childhood education setting.
• Must meet Texas Child Care Regulation requirements to serve as a child care center director.
• Current Texas Director's Certificate or ability to meet Texas director qualification requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team of teachers and center leaders.
• Oversee daily operations, staffing, classroom ratios, health and safety.
• Ensure compliance with Texas regulations and TLE standards.
• Drive enrollment through tours, family follow-up, and community outreach.
• Manage payroll, labor costs, scheduling, budgeting, and financial performance.
