Job summary

Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is seeking a Starter/Ranger to be the first and last point of contact for guests on the course. You will keep rounds moving, ensure course readiness, and share on‑course knowledge to enhance the guest experience.

You should love golf, stay composed under pressure, and be available for weekdays and weekends. A valid Oregon driver's license and a friendly, patient demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Genuine golf knowledge and etiquette relevant to a starter role.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to engage with all guests.
• Capable of managing pace of play and handling on‑course situations.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Oregon license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet groups with warmth and provide course information for a great round.
• Monitor pace of play, communicate with staff, and nudge groups when needed.
• Share on‑course knowledge from yardage markers to Turnstands.
• Protect the course by guiding divots, ball marks, and bunkers repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized starter area and professional presence.
• Know emergency procedures and respond calmly to on‑course situations.
