Job summary

Lochridge-Priest Inc in Central Texas is hiring a Start, Check & Test Technician, HVAC Controls. You will perform end-to-end testing, programming, startup, commissioning and servicing on assigned customer projects across the Central Texas area.

You do not need to be based in Waco. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, installation and commissioning of building controls, and delivering top-level customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills.
• Highly organized, able to prioritize and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Perform check, test, and start of HVAC controls on various systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and servicing with detailed troubleshooting.
• Install, commission, and service building controls safely and timely.
• Provide top-level customer service in all situations.
• Complete owner training and documentation; stay current on industry topics.
• Attend required company training and follow PPE and safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform check, test, and start of HVAC controls, on a variety of systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and commissioning and general servicing of systems (including detailed troubleshooting of systems).
• Perform all duties related to the installing, commissioning and servicing of building controls in a safe and timely manner.
• Willprovide top level customer service and be professional in all customer situations.
• Complete all proper owner training and documentation.
• Attendall required training provided by the company and actively works to stay current on all industry related topics.
• Must utilize all PPE and perform all work to company safety standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or GED. Some college preferred and/or the equivalent work experience. Proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) is required. Experience with an accounting system is a plus. Demonstrates professionalism, models integrity and confidentiality, and displays characteristics supportive of the ideal company culture.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine layout for mechanical systems.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, and flexible communication style. Ability to communicate with a variety of personalities and technical backgrounds.
• Highly organized, skilled at prioritizing multiple tasks, self-directed, and manages time effectively.
• Adapts easily to changing duties and responsibilities.
• Works well within a team environment.
• Thorough working knowledge of heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and associated pneumatic, electronic and other programmable logic controls.
• Service industry experience is a plus.
