Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Structures Engineer, Build (Starship) to join the team responsible for the production, qualification, and analysis of Starship primary structures. You will develop manufacturing processes, create CAD models, and lead on-site design engineering for efficient parts and assemblies.

The role requires a mechanical or aerospace engineering degree and 1+ years in manufacturing. You will collaborate with vehicle analysts and suppliers to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
• Experience with 3D CAD software and tooling design.
• Experience in a production environment within aerospace preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with vehicle analysts to ensure solutions meet design and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop production procedures and manage parts transition to high-rate production.
• Coordinate and execute development, qualification, and acceptance testing of systems and tooling.
• Lead on-site design engineering contact for build of parts and assemblies.
• Create and maintain build schedules.
• Resolve manufacturing discrepancies with quality team.
• Participate in design reviews with suppliers and customers.
• Partner with teams to generate ideas and improvements for vehicles.
