Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sourcing Specialist (Starship) to manage supplier analyses and strategic sourcing initiatives for high-impact programs at Starbase, TX. You will lead negotiations, develop supplier strategies, and partner with engineering and quality teams to ensure supply continuity and cost effectiveness.

Travel up to 50% may be required. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in technical sourcing, with ERP experience, and a proven ability to drive make-vs-buy decisions across the product

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years in technical sourcing, procurement, or planning.
• Experience reading drawings/blueprints.
• Experience with global sourcing and ERP systems.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive supplier analysis to formulate a strategic sourcing plan.
• Evaluate supplier capability, quality, reliability and price competitiveness.
• Analyze supplier operations for rapid production deployment and lifecycle management.
• Drive improvements in supplier quality, cost, service levels and timelines.
• Develop supplier scorecards and track performance against KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business needs.
• Lead sourcing events (RFI/RFP) and contract negotiations.
• Coordinate with engineering/quality to resolve material issues and implement changes.
• Negotiate terms of large contracts and manage master data in MRP.
• Advise buyers on strategies and provide oversight for tactical procurement.
