Job summary

SpaceX is recruiting for a Test Specialist in Production Checkouts for Starship at Starbase. You will sit on console as Vehicle Controller, executing test procedures and directing test campaigns to verify vehicle readiness before cryoproof, static fire, and flight.

You will monitor telemetry, communicate with technicians, and ensure safety and compliance across pressurized and cryogenic systems, with opportunities to train others and contribute to mission-ready operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 1+ years of experience executing test procedures or controlled operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Vehicle Controller on console for Starship production checkouts at Starbase and related stations.
• Execute released test plans and work-order operations as written: leak checks, pneumatics mapping, propellant-system functionals.
• Run checkout sequences on flight hardware and halt operations if safety requires it.
• Maintain radio discipline with technicians and enforce PPE and stop-work authority.
• Monitor live telemetry and alarms; disposition alarms and open issue tickets for hardware/procedure escapes.
• Drive test-requirement closeout from executed operations and avoid proceeding past failed requirements.
