Job summary

SpaceX in the United States is seeking a Process Engineer (Starship) to advance build reliability across manufacturing, assembly, welding, NDE, cleanliness, and inspections. You will create ground-up processes, write work instructions, and define inspection requirements while collaborating with design and quality teams to drive systemic improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with strong manufacturing emphasis.
• 1+ years in manufacturing, quality, or design engineering; internships count.
• Experience with design for manufacturability is a plus.
• Familiarity with fabrication, welding, NDE, and inspection processes is preferred.
• Hands-on shop floor experience and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop manufacturing, integration, assembly, welding, NDE, cleanliness, and checkouts processes from the ground up.
• Design and implement tooling for work access, testing, fixturing, lifting & rigging, and fluids.
• Define and document inspection requirements and procedures.
• Create training for production and inspection processes.
• Author planning, test plans, and training to execute processes and collect data.
