Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer for the Starship launch pads in Texas. You will develop and commission electrical control systems, write PLC code, configure VFDs, and generate intuitive HMI screens for complex machinery.

You will design electrical panels, manage electrical cabinets and field wiring, and ensure systems meet NFPA 79/NEC/UL 508A standards while collaborating with a high‑caliber team in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (or related field).
• 1+ years of experience in design and commissioning of control systems for industrial applications (internship qualifies).
• Willingness to work extended hours and travel up to 100% during activation.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, integrate, and commission control systems for Starship launch pads.
• Design electrical panels compliant with NFPA 79/NEC/UL 508A.
• Develop control and data acquisition systems and electrical schematics.
• Create and modify CAD models to plan installation routes and mounting.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and interface with high‑power equipment.
