Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician, Heatshield (Starship) in Brownsville, TX. The role involves hands-on maintenance of critical assets in high-stakes manufacturing, including PLCs, servomotors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and robotics.

You will collaborate with engineering and production teams, interpret schematics, and document repairs to deliver permanent solutions guiding Starship’s mission.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all assets to ensure proper operating condition.
• Provide preventative and corrective maintenance on complex automation systems.
• Troubleshoot control & electrical system failures involving PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, servo amplifiers, I/O, sensors.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems—actuators, valves, pumps, filters.
• Repair automated tool mechanical systems—ballscrews, rails, gearboxes, motors.
• Operate forklifts and company vehicles.
• Perform other related duties to ensure an efficient work environment.
