Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Fluids Systems Technician (Starship) at Level 4/5 to build, install, and troubleshoot fluid systems for the Starship production facility. The role requires pipe fitting and installation experience, plus ability to read drawings and test high- pressure systems.

Based in Brownsville, TX, the position may require travel to other SpaceX facilities, all shifts and overtime as needed. ITAR and safety requirements apply, with background in aerospace preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• 5+ years of experience using basic mechanical and/or electronics hand tools.
• 5+ years of experience with pipe fitting and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install fluid system components from a schematic or engineering drawing.
• Read and interpret planning documents, schematics, data sheets/manuals, drawings, blueprints, and engineering sketches.
• Adjust, repair or replace faulty components of ground hardware, test, and integration equipment.
• Connect and verify pressure transducers, thermocouples, and other sensors.
• Complete necessary wiring of the electrical ground support equipment for ground systems.
• Perform high pressure liquid and pneumatic testing.
• Troubleshoot and repair high-urgency operational issues found during activation or production usage of fluid systems.
