Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Fluids Systems Technician (Starship) to build, install, and troubleshoot fluid systems in the Starship production facility in Brownsville, TX. The role involves providing feedback to engineers on resource operation and maintenance needs.

Responsibilities include fabricating piping, valves, sensors, wiring ground support equipment, and conducting high-pressure testing. Candidates should have 3+ years with tools and pipe fabrication; ITAR compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years of experience using mechanical and/or electronics hand tools.
• 3+ years of experience with pipe fitting and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and install fluid system components from schematics or drawings.
• Read and interpret planning documents, schematics, data sheets and drawings.
• Adjust, repair or replace faulty components of ground hardware and test equipment.
• Connect and verify pressure transducers, thermocouples and other sensors.
• Complete necessary wiring of electrical ground support equipment for ground systems.
• Perform high pressure liquid and pneumatic testing.
• Troubleshoot and repair high-urgency issues during activation or production.
