Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Crane and Heavy Equipment Specialist (Starship) to lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of cranes and heavy lifting systems. You will collaborate with engineers and technicians to map maintenance strategies and implement reliable condition monitoring while maintaining a safe, compliant workspace.

The role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership, mentorship, and a willingness to travel up to 25% and work varying shifts in a fast-paced aerospace

Qualifications

2+ years of crane and heavy equipment maintenance experience.
5+ years maintenance technician or field service engineer experience.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
Willing to travel up to 25% and be available for all shifts.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair cranes and heavy equipment.
Implement process improvements to improve reliability.
Execute maintenance and emergency procedures for lifting and heavy equipment systems.
Create basic and complex work orders for assemblies.
Provide preventative and corrective maintenance on complex lifting and heavy equipment systems.
Trains and mentors the operations team.
