Job summary

2020 Companies, in partnership with Starlink, are hiring part-time Retail Sales & Activation Specialists at Best Buy Columbus, GA. Pay: $18/hr base; Bonus up to $4/hr; Total up to $22/hr. Schedule: 16–20 hours per week, Friday to Sunday availability required.

Dates: 7/27/26 – 11/01/26. Training provided. You'll advise shoppers on Starlink residential and mobile internet, acting as the expert and creating an engaging, tech-forward shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months in sales/electronics/retail/telecom/marketing preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to engage customers and demonstrate products effectively.

About The Role

In this exciting role, you'll work closely with retail shoppers to recommend the perfect Starlink residential and mobile internet products to meet their unique needs. You'll be the subject matter expert for customers seeking information on Starlink’s services, ensuring they have an interactive and informative shopping experience. Building relationships within a retail environment and having a technology-first mindset are key as you explain the benefits of Starlink satellite internet. Our team fully provides all technology training.

• Build Trust and Drive Sales: Build trust by understanding customer needs and confidently recommending the perfect Starlink service by being the subject matter expert

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• A minimum of six months of experience in sales, electronics, retail, telecom, or marketing is preferred
• The ability to engage, demonstrate, and engage customers in the sales process is necessary
• Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential
• Impeccable integrity and a genuine commitment to exceeding customer expectations are crucial
• Thrive in a fast-paced team environment
• Availability to work weekends
• Own a smartphone with the current Apple iOS software or current Android software
• Reliable transportation to arrive on time for scheduled visits
