Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Facilities Operations Engineer (Starlink) in Redmond, WA. This role focuses on building processes, systems, and tools to enable the team to operate more efficiently and effectively within manufacturing and office facilities.

The candidate will own end-to-end process development, data management, and dashboards, driving continuous improvement and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• 2+ years of experience in engineering, operations, manufacturing or facilities management (internship qualifies).
• Experience with data analysis, dashboards, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal visual standards for internal work boards, JIRA queuing, PowerBI dashboards, and department workflow
• Support continuous improvement projects including new process rollouts and facilities initiatives
• Define and develop department-level metrics and dashboards for operational health
• Conduct in-depth analyses via SQL queries and other data-analysis methods to identify trends for decision making
• Create reports, tools, and standardized metrics for operational measurements and improvements
• Develop automation to reduce business risk or create efficiencies within the team
• Implement tools to reduce wasted effort by engineers and technicians
• Take on new projects ad-hoc as needed
