TPG Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Starbucks Server in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The role greets guests, takes orders, prepares beverages, and serves guests in a fast-paced hotel setting.
You will handle payments, maintain cleanliness, and ensure compliance with policies and brand standards. Responsibilities include timely beverage/food delivery, accurate order taking, tips reporting, and participating in department meetings.
The Starbucks Server is responsible for greeting, selling/order taking, preparing beverages and serving guests in safe and efficient compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations. Process g uest checks and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures. Promptly reports emergencies, accidents, injuries, missing articles, damage, engineering items and safety hazards to management. Reports any deviations from policies, procedures, brand standards and regulations to management.
Complies with all guest service basics such as uniforms, name tags and proper guest greeting. Knowledgeable on hotel facilities and services to assist guests as appropriate. Ensures all communication containing Company, hotel, brand and guest information is consistent with privacy policies, practices and regulations. Impresses guests with quality and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.
· Greet guests and answer all questions about the menu.
Timely delivery of beverages/food to guests.
Prepare check and collect payment from guests in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures.
Report all tips in compliance with Company policy and IRS regulations.
Immediately clean all spills and breakage.
Clean equipments and areas. Restock service items
On time and at work when scheduled, and in proper uniform.
Attend department meetings as scheduled.
Consistent professional and positive attitude and actions when communicating with guests and associates.
High school education or equivalent experience.Ability to understandand provide friendly guest service. Ability to understand and comply with proper ordering, beverage preparation and food handling techniques. Ability to work in a fast paced enviroment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible and efficient.
Physical work is a primary part of many of our hotel and resort jobs. Physical requirements include extended standing and walking, climbing, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and lifting to 50 lbs. Some work is performed in an interior hotel environment with equipment and machines.
