As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor:

  • Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude, connecting with the customer, and provide quality beverages, whole bean and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Follow Starbucks, UNL , health, safety, and sanitation operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all partners during each shift.
  • Execute store operations during scheduled shifts, including opening and closing duties.
  • Supervise and lead a team of baristas during the shift to ensure the delivery of legendary customer service for all customers.
  • Create a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely and respectful coaching, training, and feedback to partners on shift to ensure operational excellence and to improve barista performance.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Develop positive relationships with shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs and concerns.
  • Maintain and model a calm manner during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to a high standard and set a positive example for the shift team.
  • As a Starbucks Shift Supervisor, you will act with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of Starbucks.

Minimum Required Qualifications

High school or equivalent experience plus one year of experience in a work environment. Training and certification provided. Ability to read, write, weigh and measure necessary. Ability to communicate essential. Must have the ability to train and lead others.

Preferred Qualifications

Barista experience as well as supervision of a team is preferred. Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test.
