Overview
As a Starbucks Lead Barista, you will take on a key supervisory role, supporting the store manager while helping to lead and develop a team of baristas. This position plays an essential part in delivering exceptional guest experiences, maintaining operational excellence, and upholding Starbucks brand standards in every interaction.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and support to baristas, assisting in training, development, and performance management
- Lead by example through exceptional customer service, drink preparation, and adherence to store operation
- Train new team members on company policies, procedures, and beverage preparation
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance team performance
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative work environment
- Encourage upselling and promotion of new and seasonal products
- Ensure exceptional guest service by addressing concerns and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere
- Stay informed on menu offerings, seasonal beverages, and new products to make recommendations
- Prepare and serve beverages and food items according to Starbucks recipes and standards. Operate POS systems, handle transactions accurately, and manage cash handling procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the café, including counters, equipment, seating areas, and restrooms
- Restock inventory, monitor product levels, and rotate items to maintain freshness
- Report safety hazards or incidents to the Store Manager. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays
- Prior supervisory experience in a related role required (ex. Starbucks, fast food, high-volume restaurant)
- Passion for providing exceptional service to guests and team members
- Responsibility, reliability, and honesty

- Clear professional communication
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred
