Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a Store Manager to lead day-to-day department operations in a Petoskey, MI store. You will train associates, keep the department staffed, and drive performance against company standards and KPIs.

You will order and manage inventory, review orders, and lead a team through stocking, production and quality control. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of retail experience and at least 1 year in supervision, with strong communication and bookkeeping skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of retail experience preferred.
• One-year supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible to order and maintain inventory in your department, using inventory control procedures to ensure freshness and quality.
• Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, count or weight, condition, and ensure proper storage.
• Manage a team that handles stocking, production, and related tasks to ensure quality, planning, accuracy and rotation; handle spoiled/damaged items per guidelines.
• Maintain familiarity with products in the department and store; know advertised items and store sales features.
• Communicate and execute weekly and period Flight Plan per company expectations and timelines.
• Use scheduling tools to manage labor, overtime, and payroll expenses for the department.
• Lead department staffing, training, performance management, and career development.
• Develop and monitor department goals and forecasts as required.
• Attend daily huddles, manager meetings, and district/company meetings as required.
• Maintain a clean, stocked department and uphold Prime Time standards.
• Ensure food safety and general safety guidelines are followed and enforced.
