The Lead Barista supports the Starbucks Manager in running an efficient, professional, safe, and profitable Starbucks operation, adhering to all company standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure team follows Food Division Standards and Best Practices
• Lead and direct associates during shifts to provide quality food and exceptional customer service
• Ensure proper preparation and presentation of beverages and pastries per Starbucks standards
• Maintain merchandising, product presentation, and signage standards
• Meet speed of service and food quality standards
• Use Starbucks checklists to monitor food quality
• Model Starbucks Simply Service Steps
• Collaborate with store management
• Provide ongoing training, feedback, coaching, and motivation to staff
• Maintain professional appearance and communication standards
• Uphold safety, sanitation, and equipment care standards
• Use sales and cost reports to meet profit/loss goals
• Assist with menu preparation, ordering, receiving, and inventory management
• Perform other duties as needed
• Foster an environment of acceptance, respect, and authentic connections

Candidate Profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years related experience
• Ability to interpret safety and procedural documents
• Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Involves lifting, standing, reaching, and moving constantly
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks like stooping and climbing
• Frequent use of computers and technology necessary for job functions
