Position Overview

As a Lead Barista, you'll serve as the go-to person for daily shift operations at our licensed Starbucks location within the Embassy Suites Beach Resort. You’ll support the store manager by mentoring baristas, ensuring drink quality, and keeping operations smooth—all while delivering outstanding customer experiences in a beautiful beachfront setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shift Support: Lead by example during shifts, ensuring smooth workflow, great drinks, and excellent service.
  • Barista Mentorship: Train, coach, and support new and existing baristas, helping maintain Starbucks standards for quality and consistency.
  • Customer Experience: Foster a welcoming environment, resolve customer issues quickly, and uphold the Starbucks mission of inspiring and nurturing the human spirit.
  • Operational Support: Maintain store cleanliness, manage inventory, handle cash accurately, and assist with opening or closing the store as needed.
  • Brand Compliance: Follow Starbucks recipes, merchandising, and presentation guidelines.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with hotel F&B and management teams to support resort-wide goals and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of barista experience (Starbucks preferred, but not required)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to handle fast-paced environments with grace and a smile
  • Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills
  • Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
