Responsibilities
- Promote trust and respect among associates
- Communicate company, department, and job-specific information to associates
- Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve company/store goals
- Assist in establishing performance goals for the department and empower associates to meet or exceed targets
- Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume throughout hours of operation
- Assist in training and developing associates on performance of their job and participate in the performance appraisal process
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines
- Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions regarding products sold within the department and throughout the store
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about
- Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers
- Create and prepare drinks for customers ensuring they meet Company standards
- Display a positive attitude
- Assist in developing and implementing a department business plan to achieve desired results
- Assist in creating and executing sales promotions in partnership with store management
- Inform and educate department associates about current, upcoming, and special in-store promotions especially promotions that affect the kiosk
- Assist in implementing the promotional plan for the department
- Stay current with present, future, seasonal, and special ads
- Monitor and control expenses for the department
- Maintain awareness of inventory/stocking conditions and note any discrepancies
- Schedule daily, weekly, and monthly price changes by updating shelf tags and promotional signs
- Assist in planning, organizing, and supervising the inventory process
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions
- Report all safety risks, accidents, and illegal activities
- Work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments
- Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
- Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues
- Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults

Qualifications
Minimum:
- High school education or equivalent
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Current food handlers permit upon employment
Desired:
- Management experience preferred
- Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
