Summary:

The Starbucks Barista ensures service standards are met and surpassed by creating the Starbucks Experience for customers through prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Responsibilities include processing transactions accurately at the cash register, maintaining the daily cash drawer, preparing the service area, and providing excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-year customer service experience; cashier experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective customer service skills.
• Ability to pass the barista certification examination with at least 90% after training, with up to two attempts within 3-7 days.
• Ability to perform detailed tasks, follow directions, work under pressure, adapt to change, and relate well with patients, families, and staff.
• Experience working with computers is preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

• Must have a valid City of Fort Worth Food Handlers Card prior to employment and maintain it during employment.
