Starbucks Barista
Position Objective: To contribute to Cosentino’s and Starbucks' success by creating and maintaining the Starbucks Experience for our customers.
Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Starbucks Manager.
Status: Non-exempt position.
Knowledge
Essential Knowledge
- A food handling permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment.
- Completion of ongoing training as listed on the Cosentino Learning Plan.
Non-Essential Knowledge
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

- Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Use basic math and reading skills required for the role.
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Promote sales through suggestive selling and visual displays.
- Resolve customer complaints professionally.
- Communicate openly with management about department issues.
- Unload and stock shipments without damage.
- Support additional tasks and cross-departmental assistance as needed.
Physical Abilities
Essential Abilities
- Reach overhead up to 72 inches, twist at the waist, lift objects up to 32 lbs.
- Push and pull items up to 20 lbs.
- Stand and walk for long periods on hard surfaces.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 32 lbs.
- Bend, squat, and work in cooler conditions.
Non-Essential Abilities
- Climb a ladder up to 5 ft.
