Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality in Wetumpka, AL is looking for a Barista to deliver legendary customer service by preparing quality beverages and food items and by keeping the store welcoming and clean for guests.

You will work as part of a team, communicate clearly, and remain calm during busy periods. The role requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays and includes ServeSafe Sanitation training. Tribal Gaming License may be required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or in progress.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
• Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition.
• Must successfully complete ServeSafe Sanitation training.
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required.
• Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position.
• Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment.

• Prepares quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that partners can locate resources and products as needed.
• Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in partner morale and performance by communicating them to the supervisor.
• Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a customer comes first attitude and connecting with the customer; Discovers and responds to customer needs.
• Assists in new partner training by positively reinforcing successful performance.
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance.
• Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment and customers for cues.
• Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standards.
• Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six (6) months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
• Ability to work as part of a team and build relationships
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to learn quickly
• Demonstrated ability to communicate, in English, effectively both verbally and in writing, and understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formats
• Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
• Must successfully complete ServeSafe Sanitation training
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
