Job summary

The Harrison Group in Ocean City, MD is seeking full-time, year-round team members to prepare hot and cold beverages, describe menu items, and serve sandwiches. You will ensure stations are stocked and clean, and handle payments with accuracy.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, multitasking ability, and knowledge of safe food handling. Training is provided; 1 year of related experience is preferred. Must be available mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages and sandwiches.

We are looking for full-time, year-round team members for this position (Not Seasonal)

What you will be doing in this role:

• Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages to patrons, such as coffee, blended coffee, and tea; correctly customizes orders as requested.
• Describes product details to customers.
• Receives and processes customer payments.
• Serves prepared foods and baked goods, including sandwiches.
• Ensures customer service stations are properly stocked with paper products or beverage preparation items.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes service and seating areas.
• Ensures proper functioning of freezers, refrigerators, and heating by routinely checking temperatures in that equipment.
• Stock supplies or retail products; may inventory, order, or receive products as directed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow all safe food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
• Ability to manage multiple orders simultaneously and recall frequent patrons' faces, names, and preferences.
• Ability to serve customers quickly, efficiently, and kindly.

Education and Experience:

• Must successfully complete training in food preparation, food service skills, and customer service procedures.
• At least one year of related experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks.
• Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
