Minimum Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous comparable experience preferred.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Create an environment where customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated by answering questions about products sold within the department and store.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals.
  • Prepare beverage selections according to recipes and standards, using proper equipment; handle transactions following best practices.
  • Offer samples to help customers discover new items and inform them of specials.
  • Provide customers with ordered products, ensuring freshness and correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
  • Recommend products to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Use equipment properly, including refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens, espresso machines, blenders, and scales.
  • Label, stock, and inventory merchandise accurately.
  • Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and advertisements.
  • Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report safety risks or illegal activities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
  • Report accidents and safety issues promptly.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow instructions and seek assistance when needed.
  • Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
  • Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
