Job description

The Division of Pediatric Urology in the Department of Urology at Stanford University seeks a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric urologist with an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) to join the Division as Associate Professor or Professor in the University Medical Line or University Tenure Line. We are particularly interested in candidates who have an established track record of clinical excellence and scholarship in basic, translational, and/or clinical research related to pediatric urology.

The predominant criterion for appointment in the University Tenure Line is a major commitment to research and teaching. The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the University Medical Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill. Faculty rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The successful applicant should have a track record of extramural funding, in addition to regionally or nationally recognized scholarship, service to national organizations, and clinical expertise in pediatric urology.We expect the successful candidate to develop a clinical practice focused on pediatric urology at Stanford Health Care and Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, which may include San Francisco Bay Area outreach sites. In addition, we expect the candidate to develop a robust research program with the potential for extramural funding support.

The expected base pay range for this position is:

  • Associate Professor: $422,000 - $458,000
  • Professor: $486,000 - $566,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
