Job summary

Strada Services seeks an experienced Generator Electrical Service Technician to join our Electrical Service team. The role covers installation, startup, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of residential and light commercial Generac standby systems, ensuring safety and NEC compliance.

You will diagnose issues, perform load calculations, and communicate repair options to homeowners, while maintaining documentation and supporting after-hours service as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years residential electrical service experience preferred.
• Current Generac Factory Certification is required.
• Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
• Driver's license with clean record required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Generac standby generator systems and ATS.
• Startups, commissioning, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose electrical issues in generators, transfer switches, and control wiring.
• Perform load calculations and verify system operation.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and manufacturer specs.
• Maintain safe work practices per NEC and OSHA guidelines.
• Communicate findings and repair options to customers.
