Job summary

Strada Services is seeking an experienced Generator Electrical Service Technician to join our growing Electrical Service team. The role installs, tests, and maintains residential standby generators and automatic transfer switches while ensuring safety and NEC compliance.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Generac systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and excellent customer service. OSHA 10/30, Journeyman license preferred, and valid driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years residential electrical service experience preferred.
• Current Generac Factory Certification is required.
• Journeyman Electrician License preferred.
• OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain Generac standby generator systems and automatic transfer switches (ATS).
• Startup, commissioning, inspections, and preventive maintenance services.
• Diagnose electrical issues involving generators, transfer switches, control wiring, and related equipment.
• Perform load calculations and verify proper system operation and performance.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
• Communicate findings and repair options to homeowners professionally.
• Generate repair estimates and present solutions to customers.
• Maintain documentation using company software and ensure NEC/OSHA compliance.
