Job description

Standards Mechanical Technician

Pay Range: $24-$28 per hour, based on experience

Location: Lanco Integrated

At Lanco, no two builds are the same, and neither is a day as part of our Standards Team. You're turning raw extrusion and Lexan into the transport systems, tables, and guarding that hold our custom automation together. Your hands-on work becomes part of machines that build products used in hospitals, defense applications, and consumer product lines across 30+ countries.

We're looking for a Standards Mechanical Technician who takes pride in precise, hands-on fabrication and assembly work, works well alongside mechanical and electrical teammates, and is ready to see a job through from raw material to shipped machine.

What You’ll Do

  • Process raw extrusion into standard and custom components using cut-off saws, Bridgeport mills, drilling, and tapping equipment

  • Mechanically assemble standard and custom transport systems, tables, stock jobs, and guarding assemblies, including cutting Lexan panels with table saws and routers

  • Mount enclosures, assemble pallets, and complete final module work (guarding, leveling, and adjusting) to prepare machines for shipment and assembly to skids

  • Partner with mechanical and electrical technicians to assemble stations, and assist with packaging systems and components for customer shipment

  • Maintain accurate job documentation, including drawings, parts lists, and specification sheets, and complete or verify Assembly Verification requirements within the Manufacturing Quality Plan (MQP)

  • Perform field service work for installation, modification, and service of machines at customer sites

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years of applicable work experience preferred

  • Proper use of hand and power tools

  • Ability to operate a forklift

  • Demonstrated machining skills and experience (mill, lathe, grinder)

  • Comfort with a hands-on shop environment: standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, and stooping

  • Willingness to wear required safety equipment, including proper PPE

  • Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time for field service, as needs arise
