Compensation Range: $17.43 - $24.40

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual salaries will be set within this range based on various factors.

Responsibilities:

GENERAL PURPOSE

Portrays characteristics of a patient, family member, health care team member, etc., for training and assessment of health care students and professionals. Conducts interviews and physical exams using scripted scenarios, portraying various roles and demeanors to facilitate learning in a safe environment. Provides constructive feedback to learners regarding conduct, communication, and medical assessment.

This includes Standard Role Play, Difficult Role Play, Non-Invasive Physical Exam, Non-Invasive Ultrasounds, Home Study.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Accurately portrays medical scenarios during interviews, demonstrations, and physical exams, maintaining confidentiality.
  • Performs physical and ultrasound examinations on self, instructing learners on techniques, with appropriate exposure and professionalism.
  • Memorizes case scenarios and simulates details, including medical history and emotional states.
  • Completes training and participates in mentorship of new standardized patients.
  • Provides and receives educational feedback objectively.
  • Supports departmental operations, including answering phones and administrative tasks.

Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 6 months of work or volunteer experience preferred.
  • Experience in theatre, medical field, or education preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to follow instructions and simulate cases accurately.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to portray roles consistently and remain in character.
  • Organized, reliable, punctual.
  • Fluency in multiple languages and flexible schedule preferred.
