The role provides administrative and technical assistance to implement flight test operations requirements for aircrew Standardization Evaluation, Training and technical publications per AFMANs and MAJCOM Supplements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date aircrew records.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and technical support to implement flight test operations requirements for aircrew Standardization Evaluation and Training and technical publications.
  • Document, process, file, and update databases and paper records to maintain aircrew records.
  • Monitor timelines for Stan/Eval evaluations; proctor and schedule tests; route Form 8s for approval.
  • Plan, register and schedule aircrew for required training events and coordinate with outside agencies.
  • Understand and communicate training prerequisites and steps to complete training.
  • Maintain electronic order libraries and download updates from ETIMS and other systems.
  • Collaborate with departments and outside agencies to resolve Stan/Eval, training and technical publications issues.
  • Gain knowledge on Stan/Eval, training, and publications and locate all guidance.

Job description

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Standardization, Evaluation, Training & Technical Publications Coordinator to join the growing team at Edwards AFB, CA.

This role will provide technical project support to the Director of Operations office in a USAF fighter squadron with the planning, scheduling, and record keeping for Standardization Evaluation, Training and Technical Publications. Implement requirements following DoD, Air Force, AFMC, Air Force Test Center, 412 TW, 412 OG and the assigned organization technical and administrative direction to support aircrew training/qualification and flight operations. This individual will support the daily activities to maintain aircrew current qualifications and support necessary qualification upgrades and upkeep technical publications for flight test operations.

Tasks and responsibilities will be inclusive of but not limited to:
  • Provide administrative and technical assistance to implement the flight test operations office requirements for aircrew Standardization Evaluation and Training and technical publications per the applicable AFMANs and associated MAJCOMS Installation Supplements.
  • Document, process, file, and update databases and paper copy records to maintain accurate and up-to-date aircrew records to include Flight Evaluation Folder, Letter of Xs, Form 8s, Training Folders, Memorandum for Records, Electronic Flight Books and other aircrew operational records.
  • Monitor timelines for Stan/Eval evaluations zones: identify schedule concerns; proctor, schedule and record written tests; draft, proofread and route Form 8s for approval. For Form 8 proofreading, learn to understand all required evaluation ground and aerial events and be able to confirm the Form 8 text proves that all evaluation requirements were met.
  • Plan, register and schedule organization rated and non-rated aircrew for required training events and as requested by outside support agencies
  • Understand and communicate the training process to include all prerequisite training requirements, supporting application documents and sequential steps to complete the training
  • Document and maintain an accurate and up to date United States Air Force and Foreign Military Sales electronic technical order library; access and download publication updates from the Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS) and the International Database for Technical Orders
  • Proactively interact with other departments and outside agencies to resolve issues as required in all areas related to Stan /Eval, Training and technical publications
  • Become knowledgeable on all topics related to Stan/Eval, Training and technical publications, knowing the content and location of all written guidance.
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge and skills in resource organization and allocation, continuous quality and process improvement, setting and measurement of program goals, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The candidate must be a self-starter, capable of large quantity of self-education, and capable of performing required tasks with minimal direction.
  • Prior military air-crew experience is a plus but not required.
Education Requirements:

Bachelor's or higher degree or any combination of formal education, training and experience equivalent to four years involvement in technically demanding program or project assignments.

Clearance Requirements:
  • This position requires an active Secret clearance.
  • Candidate must possess a valid, state issued driver's license.
  • U.S. Citizenship Required.
Salary:

The pay range for this position in California is $XX,000/year to $XXX,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
