Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Columbia, South Carolina is hiring Stand-Up Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team. Earn $19.66 per hour plus a $1.00 shift premium and a $5.00 weekend premium, with a second shift schedule 6:00 pm – 6:00 am, and weekly pay.

Work includes forklift operation, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and cycle counting in a clean, safety-focused facility. We offer comprehensive benefits, paid training, 401(k), and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment.

Responsibilities

Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
Responsible for accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks.
Responsible for day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during production shift hours.
Performs other duties as assigned.
