Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Stamping Equipment Engineer to support planning, designing, specifying, installing, launching, and sustaining stamping pressroom equipment in our automotive facility. The role emphasizes capital equipment compliance with FCA US LLC standards and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate tracks build progress, timing, and costs, and manages documentation and deliverables through startup and transfer to stamping plants.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years in engineering or related technical field.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering preferred (8+ years stamping pressroom exp.).
• Strong ability to translate technical data into executive summaries and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, select, and specify stamping pressroom equipment including presses, feeders, conveyors, and automation systems.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, and start-up of new equipment.
• Develop preventive maintenance plans to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to improve safety and productivity.
• Prepare technical documentation and maintenance procedures for equipment upgrades.
