Job summary

STRATTEC SECURITY CORPORATION is seeking a Stamping Set-Up Operator to join our automotive supply team in Milwaukee. You will set up and operate equipment up to a 630-ton press, run multiple machines, and collaborate with engineers and quality staff to improve processes.

Pay starts at $25.00/hour plus $0.75 shift premium (3 PM–1 AM, Monday–Thursday); after a successful 6‑month training period wages progress to $30.06/hour.

Qualifications

• Must pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• Must hold or pass STRATTEC forklift operator driver's license.
• Basic reading, writing, math, organizational, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates assigned equipment up to 630-ton press.
• Capable of running multiple pieces of equipment, stand alone or cellular fashion.
• Trained and certified on all presses and complex tooling above 630-ton press or operate a cell of machines that includes secondary processes.
• Perform minor in-die tool component changes.
• Rotate to various assigned machines as required.
• Problem solves and makes corrective adjustments during set-up and operation of assigned equipment.
• Responsible for adhering to best safety practices in performing the job
• Responsible for maintaining all quality requirements and productivity standards.
• Responsible for maintaining 5S throughout the department.
• Trains and provides work direction to others as required.
• Work with management, engineering, and quality technicians on process improvement.
• Completes daily routine maintenance as required.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
