Job summary

STRATTEC Security Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking a Stamping Set-Up Operator to set up and run heavy presses, including 630-ton units, in a fast-paced automotive supplier environment.

Starting pay $25.00/hour with $0.75 shift premium for 3PM–1AM Mon–Thu; after a 6-month training period wages progress to $30.06/hour. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and 5S, with opportunities to train others and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Inspects tools and equipment before use.
• Basic reading, writing, math, organizational and computer skills required.
• Must pass a mechanical aptitude test.
• Must hold or pass STRATTEC forklift operator license.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates equipment up to 630-ton press.
• Runs multiple pieces of equipment, stand alone or cellular.
• Trained on presses and tooling above 630-ton or operate a cell of machines.
• Perform minor in-die tool component changes.
• Rotate to various machines as required.
• Adhere to safety practices and quality standards.
• Maintain 5S in the department.
• Train and provide work direction to others.
• Work with management, engineering and quality on process improvement.
• Completes daily maintenance as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Stamping Set-Up Operator:

• Sets up and operates assigned equipment up to 630-ton press.
• Capable of running multiple pieces of equipment, stand alone or cellular fashion.
• Trained and certified on all presses and complex tooling above 630-ton press or operate a cell of machines that includes secondary processes.
• Perform minor in-die tool component changes.
• Rotate to various assigned machines as required.
• Problem solves and makes corrective adjustments during set-up and operation of assigned equipment.
• Responsible for adhering to best safety practices in performing the job
• Responsible for maintaining all quality requirements and productivity standards.
• Responsible for maintaining 5S throughout the department.
• Trains and provides work direction to others as required.
• Work with management, engineering, and quality technicians on process improvement.
• Completes daily routine maintenance as required.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications

PAY RATE: $25.00/HOUR PLUS .75 FOR SHIFT PREMIUM- HOURS 3PM TO 1AM MON-THURS.

AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF 6 MONTH TRAINING PERIOD WAGE WILL PROGRESS TO$30.06/HOUR.
