Job summary

Experience Champaign Urbana is seeking a quality inspector for the press shop. You will catch stamped automotive parts at the end of press machines, inspect for defects, and separate non-conforming parts to maintain production flow and quality.

Requirements include strong attention to detail, ability to work in a noisy, heavy-machinery environment, and adherence to safety protocols. This is a 2nd shift position (3pm-11pm) with potential overtime based on production needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection.
• Familiarity with basic quality tools is a plus.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Stand at end of press machines to catch stamped parts safely and efficiently.
• Inspect parts for defects such as cracks, bends, burrs, or surface flaws.
• Sort conforming vs non-conforming parts based on quality criteria.
