Job summary

G.A. Richards Group in Michigan is seeking a dependable metalworking machine operator to set up and run metalworking equipment on a 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM shift, with overtime.

You will operate metalworking machines, saws, stamping presses, punches, drills, and other equipment; drive a forklift and an overhead crane; and band and shrink wrap material. Education required is a high school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience; physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the

• Ability to handle and maneuver raw steel safely.
• Comfort with physically demanding duties and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Run metalworking machines and saws.
• Operate stamping presses, punches, drills and other metalworking equipment.
• Drive forklift and overhead crane as needed.
• Band and shrink wrap material.

Pay Range: $16 - $21/hr

Shift: 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM with overtime

Summary: Responsible for running and setting up metal working machine.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Run metal working machines
• Run saw
• Drive forklift and drive overhead crane
• Operate stamping presses, production saws, punching machines, drills, and other metal working machinery
• Band and shrink wrap material

Other Qualifications:

Ability to maneuver various lengths of raw steel by hand (12"-10")

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
